office who want to reach younger voters.

The new bill gives TikTok parent company ByteDance nine months to sell the
platform or be banned in the U.S.
A one-time, 90-day extension can
be granted by the president.
Without an extension, the earliest a ban
could be implemented is January 2025.
Some Democrats say that ByteDance would rather sell TikTok than be banned in America.

공직선거법과 정치자금법 위반 혐의로 기소된 오영훈 제주도지사가 1심에 이어 2심에서도 당선 무효형을 피했습니다.

광주고법 제주 형사1부는 오 지사에 대한 항소심에서 오 지사와 검찰의 항소를 모두 기각하고, 벌금 90만원을 선고한 1심 판결을 유지했습니다.

오 지사는 6·1 지방선거 공식 선거운동 기간 전인 2022년 5월 16일 '제주 상장기업 20개 만들기 업무협약식'을 개최해 사전 선거운동을 한 혐의 등으로 기소됐습니다.

법원은 정치자금법 위반 혐의에 대해서는 무죄로 판단했습니다.

신 전 검사장은 지난달 법무부 장관을 상대로 서울행정법원에 해임처분 취소 소송을 냈습니다.

신 전 검사장은 서울중앙지검 3차장이던 지난 2020년, 한동훈 당시 검사장과 이동재 전 채널A 기자의 대화 내용이라며 KBS 기자들에게 허위 사실을 알린 혐의로 서울남부지법에서 재판을 받고 있습니다.

법무부 검사징계위원회는 지난 2월 신 전 검사장에게 최고 수준 징계인 해임 처분을 부과했습니다.

신 전 검사장은 작년 12월 사직서를 내고 4·10 총선에서 무소속으로 출마했으나 낙선했습니다.

On April 24, 1970, China became the fifth nation to independently launch a satellite into orbit.

Dong Fang Hong I was the first of a series of satellites China launched under the Dong Fang Hong space satellite program. It lifted off on a Long March I rocket from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center. The name "Dong Fang Hong" translates to "The East is Red." This was also the name of a Chinese song glorifying Chairman Mao, and it was China's unofficial national anthem during the communist revolution in the 1960s. This song was broadcast from the satellite via a radio transmitter for 20 days. The success of Dong Fang Hong I made China the fifth nation to launch a satellite on a native rocket, following the Soviet Union, the U.S., France and Japan.
