(Adnkronos) - Circa 6000 nuove diagnosi l’anno e solo il 40% delle donne ha possibilità di sopravvivenza. E’ l'incidenza del tumore ovarico, patologia tanto importante quanto ancora poco conosciuta. Sono dati allarmanti questi, che evidenziano una mancata diagnosi. Ecco, quindi, che in occasione della Giornata Mondiale del tumore ovarico dell'8 maggio, le istituzioni sottolineano il loro impegno per raccogliere le istanze della comunità scientifica e delle associazioni dei pazienti al fine di migliorare la qualità della vita e la sopravvivenza delle donne; le associazioni in tal senso parlano dell’importanza della ricerca scientifica per quanto concerne la diagnosi precoce.
