SILENCE 2: THE NIGHT OWL BAR SHOOTOUT is the story of a heinous crime. ACP Avinash Verma (Manoj Bajpayee) heads the Special Crime Unit. He's joined by Sanjana Bhatia (Prachi Desai), Amit Chauhan (Sahil Vaid), Raj Gupta (Vaquar Shaikh) and Javed (Nimesh Balaji Shinde). After the events of the last film, the unit has expanded though there's pressure on Commissioner Mayank Sharma (Manuj Bhaskar) to shut it down. One night, a deadly shootout takes place at Night Owl Bar where several people are killed. Avinash is asked to head the cast as the PA of a minister also dies in the shootout. Avinash and his team begin the investigation assuming that the shootout took place to eliminate the PA. But they soon realize that a girl present at the bar, Azma Khan (Surbhi Rohra), is the reason why the killings happened. She was present at the bar with her friend Irrfan and both were eliminated. As they investigate, the unit realizes that Azma was an escort. Meanwhile, the dead body of a girl named Tara Sachdev is found in Jaipur. Avinash realizes that there's a connection between the two murders. But it's not easy to zero in on a suspect as there are too many players involved, all with their own motives. What happens next forms the rest of the film.
Aban Bharucha Deohans' story is intriguing. Aban Bharucha Deohans' screenplay is captivating in places. In no time, one gets sucked into the goings-on. The writing is also peppered with a lot of unexpected developments. However, it gets too stretched in the middle. Aban Bharucha Deohans' dialogues have an impact but a few one-liners seem forced.
Aban Bharucha Deohans' direction is uncomplicated, which is very important since a lot happens in the film and there are too many suspects. As it happens in most whodunits, the director makes viewers guess who must be behind the killings and the motive for doing so. There’s also a human trafficking angle that adds a lot to the plot. In fact, the Jaipur episode keeps viewers on the edge of their seats. The suspense is unpredictable.
On the flipside, the film is 2 hours and 22 minutes long. It drags at some places. Though the makers try their best to keep the narrative simple, a few developments are confusing. The flashback of the killing at the bar is very unconvincing. How exactly the killer killed so many without a hindrance is not easy to digest. Also, the motive behind it is weak. A few developments are not depicted visually and are given a raw deal. It hampers the impact to some extent.

Ittefaq talks about a challenging investigation of a double murder case. Dev, a police officer interrogates two witnesses who are also the suspects in a murder case to find out the truth. The screenplay was written by Abhay Chopra, Shreyas Jain, and Nikhil Mehrotra. The film was produced by Shah Rukh Khan, Karan Johar, Gauri Khan, Renu Ravi Chopra, and Hiroo Yash Johar and directed by Abhay Chopra. The makers of the film disclosed that the film will have a different climax than the original film Ittefaq (1969). This 2017 mysterious thriller stars Sidharth Malhotra, Akshaye Khanna, and Sonakshi Sinha. Clear cut editing by Nitin Baid and adept cinematography by Michal Luka makes it a watchable movie. It was released on 3 November 2017 and was distributed by AA Films. The music was composed by Tanishk Bagchi. The film was made on a budget of ₹29 crores and it collected ₹ 56.26 crores at the box office. The Censor Board has categorized the movie under UA certification and occupies a screen time of 107 minutes. The film has a non-stop schedule and was completed in 50 days.
Karan Johar and Shah Rukh Khan have come together to bring to us a brand new Ittefaq in their 10th collaboration. A remake of the 1969 film Ittefaq, directed by Yash Chopra, the film has Sidharth Malhotra stepping into the shoes of Rajesh Khanna, Sonakshi Sinha in Nanda’s character and Akshaye Khanna as a cop played by Iftekhar in the original. The trailers promised an edge of the seat drama for all those who haven’t seen the original. But what about those who already have? I was really looking forward to find out what’s new in Sidharth-Sonakshi’s Ittefaq.

Set in Munabao, a sleepy, parched hamlet near the Rajasthan-Pakistan border, Raj Singh Chaudhary’s Thar is a tribute to American Westerns. It has all the usual elements—blood, gore, violence, an arid, nondescript village lost in time, local gangsters, svelte village belles, an ageing inspector, and a brooding, mysterious stranger. All of it wonderfully supported by stunning scenic visuals of remote Rajasthan.
I am a Rajasthani. I have been raised in the desert state. I know the geography like a native should and yet, I watched Shreya Dev Dube’s skilled camerawork with open-mouthed wonder. Thar’s cinematography is its hero. The desiccated terrain, the barren hills, the omnipresent dust, and the aridity of it all is so palpable, that you can feel the acute lack. Of water, vegetation, humanity. Dubey’s prowess does not just provide the right setting for the drama to unfold, it gives the film its true protagonist and thence the title.
The other thing that stands out about Thar is its depiction of brutality. It’s as savage and unapologetic as the acts themselves. This Netflix film is disturbingly graphic. Even by the standards of Westerns and revenge dramas. Violence begets violence, but be warned, this one shows it all—the severing of body parts, the mutilation, the slow torture, the immolation—up close and in distressing detail.
At the heart of it all is Inspector Surekha Singh, a weather-beaten cop six months away from retirement, played with inimitable swag by Anil Kapoor. His official rank does not justify his acumen for his job and his spirit to do it well. Dissatisfied with his unremarkable, middling career, he wants to go out with a bang. And soon enough, an opportunity plays out. There’s a shootout involving cross-border drug smuggling and a local man is found hanging from a tree, inhumanly mutilated. Surekha spurs into action.

‘Shaitaan’ movie review: R Madhavan makes the mean monster shine opposite Ajay Devgn in this horror show.
Backed by a poignant premise and powerful performances, director Vikas Bahl generates some genuine moments in eerie situations but surprisingly shows a straight bat in the slog overs.
The film is a remake of the Gujarati horror film Vash (2023). Janki Bodiwala reprises her role from the original here. Kabir (Ajay Devgn) and Jyoti (Jyotika), along with their teenage daughter Jahnvi (Janki Bodiwala), and son Dhruv (Anngad Raaj) drive away to their remote farmhouse to spend some quality time. Their tranquillity shatters when a stranger. Vanraj Kashyap (R Madhavan), enters their world. He somehow takes complete control of Jyoti’s will and makes her a slave of sorts. She harms herself, almost kills her brother, slaps her father and fights with her mother. All this is brought out in visceral detail. The viewer is spared nothing. Kabir and Jyoti try vainly to get Janhvi to listen to them but to no avail. Things keep escalating. Vanraj wants to take away Janhvi but he would only do so with their explicit permission. We learn that he’s an evil tantrik who wants to take over the world. And must sacrifice a bevy of girls to do so. He succeeds in luring Janhvi away and now it’s up to Kabir to save her and other girls from being killed.
The film starts with a disclaimer that the film isn’t propagating superstition and then proceeds to do so for the next two hours. Vanraj equates himself to God, claims he can control anyone if he deems fit and indulges in the sort of mumbo jumbo even street magicians will steer clear off. The climax scene, which showcases mass hypnotism, features young girls all eager to throw themselves in a pyre. There’s no backstory as to why he’s become this instrument of evil. He’s made to spout some nonsense about controlling the life of everyone in the world and we’re supposed to believe that.
Ajay Devgn played a laid-back man who uses his wits to save his family in the Drishyam franchise and kind of steps back into the Drishyam mould again in this film. He’s perfectly cast as the super caring dad who keeps a close watch on his children but gives them ample freedom at the same time. He brings out the helplessness and dedication of a loving father who would do it all to save his world from falling apart perfectly well and looks good in action scenes as well. Jyothika, seen in a Hindi film after aeons, is cast as a caring mother who fights like a wounded lioness when it comes to saving her daughter. Her reactions look totally genuine. She uses her body language and expressive eyes to convey a range of emotions. She shares a good rapport with Ajay Devgn. It’s good to see middle-aged stars being cast together and acting their age. It’s a step in the right direction indeed. Madhavan and Jyothikha have acted in romantic comedies like Dumm Dumm Dumm (2001) and Priyamaana Thozhi (2003) earlier and have a reunion of sorts in Shaitaan. But
Krishna Vrinda Vihari _ Full Movie _ Romantic Love Story _ Naga Shaurya, Shirley Setia
The premise is impressive. As was established through the trailer, Krishna (Naga Shaurya) hails from a ritualistic Brahmin family where the mother (Radhika Sarathkumar) knows how to have her way. When he moves to Hyderabad to do a software job, he feels liberated. This newfound freedom makes him woo Vrinda (Shirley Setia), a North Indian living in the city, at the first opportunity. Vrinda, to his fortune, is his friendly manager. Much as she loves Krishna, Vrinda is in a bind because she is barren owing to a disorder. Krishna now takes a tricky decision. He pulls the wool over his mother's eyes and marries Vrinda. Least does he realize that this is not going to be smooth sailing.
This film doesn't subscribe to regular notions of masculinity. In this regard, director Aneesh R Krishna must be commended. Naga Shaurya's character doesn't mind being at the receiving end of the raw deal if it makes his girlfriend happy. Like many Telugu cinema male leads, he is mistaken often by those who are supposed to behave better.
Mahathi Swara Sagar's musical flavour sits pretty with the mood of the film. 'Emundi Ra' is enjoyable, although the rest of the songs don't match up to its standard. Sai Sriram's cinematography makes the production values look better. Compared to Shaurya's films like 'Nartanasala', 'KVV' has got a much better visual appeal.
For a change, the story taps into the dynamics of an evolving relationship between a woman and her mother-in-law. In doing so, it makes sense. There are dialogues that sensitize us to the need to empathize with the pulls and pressures faced by working women. Radhika Sarathkumar makes us see her character's point without appearing mean. It's also amusing that she is shown to be someone who has the ability to predict the future accurately.
Shirley Setia makes a vivacious Telugu debut. She looks believable as a North Indian migrant in Hyderabad, drawing the unwarranted attention of a lot of men. Amitabh Pradhan's negative role could have been etched in a better way, though.
The arc of Vennela Kishore's character is funny, with the coma portions standing out. Satya is effortless. Brahmaji can make us enjoy even ordinary lines. Wish Rahul Ramakrishna had got to do better. Annapurnamma is seen as Krishna's granny, while Saranya Pradeep and Himaja have their parts.
The second half is where the actual story takes place. Much of the drama happens indoors. The conversations between three different characters make for a dramatic watch. The climax has the right quantum of simplicity and likeability. The pub scene is not squandered away.
On the downside, the workplace portions should have been constructed in a realistic fashion. The frustrations of Satya and Rahul Ramakrishna are captured well initially. By and by, classist humour and regular tropes like a mean guy creeping up the female lead make their way. Movie Story:
Sophia (Katrina Kaif) is Ranvir's personal secretary. She adores her boss and loves him. Ranvir is totally unaware of her feeling and regards her adoration as her efficiency. Ranvir too is disturbed as he has sacrificed his love for his younger brother because Rajiv had promised him that if he gets married to Shaina, he will leave alcohol forever. Rajiv after getting married breaks his promise and the story starts getting complicated. In a weak moment Ranvir and Shaina come very close to each other, and an affair starts between the younger brother's wife and the elder brother.
When the younger brother starts suspecting his wife, all hell breaks loose. A murder is committed, a contract killing is issued, double crossings become the order of the day, betrayals are executed at the blink of an eye, and a point comes where you cannot pick the good from the bad, the evil from the righteous and the tame from the wild.
A sharp tongued detective R.D., getting wise on the proceedings, starts an intriguing investigation with his brainless bimbo assistant Mini, and the story starts to move at a breakneck speed, full of unexpected twists and turns making the climax of the movie impossible to predict. A back drop of horse racing, the beautiful locales of Durban and edge of the seat excitement are the crux of Race.

Sethuraman, a scientist, invents a time-travelling gadget, and his evil-twin brother wants to get hold of it. A bitter battle arises between Sethuraman's son and his evil-twin to capture the gadget.
Sethuraman is a brilliant scientist and renowned watchmaker who lives with his wife Priya and newborn son Manikandan. He has devoted himself to inventing a time machine using a watch. On 13 January 1990, Sethuraman manages to successfully complete his invention, although it is only capable of moving back and forth in time for 24 hours. His happiness is short-lived, however, as his evil twin brother Athreya attacks the family and kills Priya to get the watch. He manages to find the key to the box that the watch was hidden in, but not the box. Unable to use the watch and fearful for his son's life, an injured Sethuraman manages to escape with his son and gets on a train, with Athreya in close pursuit. Sethuraman pleads with a woman he meets on the train named Sathyabhama to take care of his son and goes to face Athreya. He manages to trick Athreya into thinking he is carrying a bomb, prompting Athreya to quickly kill Sethuraman before jumping off the train to his apparent death.
26 years later, Manikandan (Mani) is now a talented watch mechanic who believes Sathyabhama to be his mother. It is revealed that Sethuraman placed the locked box containing his watch along with Mani, who grew up unaware of the contents of the box, as well as his true parents. Mani meets a girl Sathya and falls in love with her. Somewhere else, Athreya, who survived his fall and was in a coma, wakes up after 26 years and is shocked to find out that he is now paralysed from the waist down and significantly older. He is cared for by his trusted confidante, Mithran.
Through an incredible set of coincidences, the key to the box ends up in the hands of Mani, who unlocks the box and discovers the watch inside. He figures out its incredible capabilities including its ability to freeze time for 30 seconds, but questions the origin of the watch, and how it ended up in his possession.
Athreya, upset with the fact that he lost 26 years of his life and has become a paraplegic, obsesses over the watch and wishes to go back in time to relive his lost youth. Mithran issues an advertisement offering INR 5 crores (50 million) as a reward for the lost watch. Mani deduces that the creator of the advertisement is aware of the powers of the watch. In order to figure out the truth, Mani uses the original to make an identical copy and along with his friend, goes to the provided address.

Dr. Uday Gupta (Ayushmann Khurrana) is a medical student who has just passed his final M.B.B.S exam. He lives in Bhopal with his widowed mother Shobha (Sheeba Chaddha), an aspiring chef who hopes to make it big on social media through her cookery channels, and his best friend, Abhishek Chandel "Chaddi" (Abhay Chintamani Mishr), who is preparing for the civil services examination. Uday wants to pursue his post-graduation in orthopedics, inspired by his distant cousin Dr. Ashok Gupta (Indraneil Sengupta). His rank in the competitive entrance test, however, is insufficient for an orthopedics course in Bhopal. Unwilling to leave his mother behind and move to another city for his studies, Uday reluctantly opts for the best available option in Bhopal-gynecology. He is asked by the counselor to convince a fellow student Priyanka (Sharvari Deshpande), who got Ortho, to swap seats with him. Uday begs Priyanka, that he and his girlfriend Ruchi have big plans after marriage (she will do Optho) and they will start a clinic together. Priyanka informs Uday that Ruchi is breaking up with him and storms off, refusing to swap her Ortho with his Gynae. Uday is also angry with Ruchi for spending way too much time with his study companion Vishal. Ruchi breaks up with Uday saying that he doesn't trust or listens to women.
Ashok also advises Uday to take this opportunity; Uday can simultaneously continue to study for next year's entrance test. Uday is introduced to Kavya Sharma (Ayesha Kaduskar), a high school student who also aspires to become a doctor and whom Ashok is infatuated with.
Uday's initiation into Gynaecology starts on a bad note-he is instantly ticked off by the head of the department, the strict Dr. Nandini Srivastav (Shefali Shah), for joining the course 10 days late, and he gets bullied by his colleagues, all of whom are female. Uday blames his ex-girlfriend Ruchi (Karishma Singh) for his present state and, egged on by Ashok, drunkenly calls her and vents his frustrations. Ashok asks Uday to apply for leave and study for next yr exams to get a better rank and get into Ortho. When Uday asks Nandini for leave, for his mother's heart treatment in Delhi, she tells him to bring his mother to their hospital and she will personally oversee her treatment.
Uday Gupta finds himself as the lone male resident in the Gynaecology department. His reluctance leads to chaos, confusion, comedy and eventually, great camaraderie with his fellow classmates.

Ayaan Kapoor is an extremely greedy, selfish and egoistic real estate businessman who is in a debt of ₹16 crores. When he’s in a bad mood, he yells at people and expects them to be nice to him when he’s happy. His day to day life involves carrying out his real estate business in 80% black and 20% white money, visiting a nearby Hanuman temple every Tuesday and Saturday to smear the idol of Hanuman with holy paste, offer laddus, pour oil on the idol and greedily ask for petty things, then watching his favourite actress Nora Fatehi’s songs. He has a booming real estate business, but falls into debt due to the demonetisation, as he has a lot of black money. He wants to sell his mansion to clear his debts but can’t find any buyer and starts living at his wife's house with his wife, Inspector Ruhi, and daughter Pihu.
One day, Ayaan gets involved in a road accident, and regains consciousness in Heaven, where Yamaduta and Chitragupta give him a chance to go back to Earth and survive the accident, by asking him to play a game called Game of Life. He is shown a vision of his physical body currently being in the operation theatre and is told by CG that his surgery will take 5 hours, during which his soul will play the game.
The rules of the game: There are two containers - one for white balls, which represent Ayaan’s positives, and the other for black balls, which represent his sins and weaknesses. The containers would be filled with white or black balls by the residents of heaven (who are the audience members of the game), which will be considered their votes. The votes would be given based on how Ayaan does his virtual tasks and how he behaves in a certain situation which he is put in. If the container with the black balls overflows, he will be sent to hell and if the container with the white balls overflows, he gets to return to earth.
