Husband and wife plead not guilty to neglect leading to death of baby girl

A husband-and-wife pair of babysitters pleaded not guilty at the Sessions Court in Johor Baru for allegedly neglecting a nine-month-old baby girl, which might have led to her death last month.

Lim Zhen Jie, 31, and Vivian Lau, 29, made the plea after the charge was read to them in Mandarin in front of Judge Rasidah Roslee on Tuesday (May 7).

Menteri Pertahanan Prabowo Subianto mengapresiasi gagasan serta inisitif luar biasa dari Mantan Kepala Badan Intelijen Negara (BIN), Jenderal TNI (Purn.) AM Hendropriyono yang pada hari ulang tahunnya meresmikan replika Istana Majapahit yang pernah ada di Jawa Timur pada tahun 1292 – 1526 M.

“Ini merupakan sebuah inisiatif, gagasan yang luar biasa dari Pak Hendropriyono,” kata Prabowo saat menghadiri acara peresmian replika Kraton Majapahit Jakarta yang berlokasi di kawasan Cipayung, Jakarta, Selasa (7/5).

Prabowo menambahkan, momen ini menjadi lebih spesial lantaran bertepatan dengan hari ulang tahun Hendropriyono. “Kebetulan hari ini juga ulang tahun Pak Hendro, saya bisa lihat fisik sepertinya Pak Hendro masih lama ini,” kata Prabowo yang kemudian disambut tawa para hadirin.

프로농구 정규리그에서 5위에 머물렀던 KCC가 플레이오프에서 대반전 끝에 사상 최초로 챔피언 결정전 우승을 차지해 놀라움을 안겨주고 있는데요.

오늘의 인사이드에서는 KCC의 기적을 만들어낸 숨은 주역들을 모셨습니다.

허웅 선수와 송교창 선수와 함께 KCC 우승 비결을 파헤쳐 보겠습니다.

어서 오세요.

그동안 농구 역사에서 이런 일이 있었을까란 생각이 들 정도로, 기적을 이뤄냈습니다. 극적인 반전이 있어선지, 그 기쁨도 더욱 클 것 같은데요. KCC의 우승 소감부터 여쭤볼게요.

특히 정규리그 5위로 플레이오프에 진출한 팀의 우승은 사상 처음 있는 일인데요. 초반엔 하위권을 맴돌았지만 시즌 막판부터 반등했거든요. 막판에 반등한 비결이 무엇이었다고 보시나요?

특히 KCC 라인업을 두고 호화 라인업이다, 슈퍼팀이다 이런 평가가 많았지 않습니까? 그런데도 초반에 하위권을 맴돌 땐 부담감도 컸을 거란 생각이 드는데요. 그 부담감을 떨쳐낸 비결은 무엇이었나요?

스타 선수들끼리 부딪히는 부분도 많았을 텐데, 어떻게 원팀이 만들어졌는지 들어볼 수 있을까요? 특히 최준용 선수는 우승하고 나서 인터뷰에서 허웅 선수가 풀린 고삐를 잡아줬다고 했는데요.

슈퍼팀이 제대로 달리기 시작하면 얼마나 무서운지를 보여준 시리즈가 아니었나란 생각이 드는데요. 초반에는 호화 라인업이라는 평가에도 선수들끼리 "우승해야 슈퍼팀"이라며 겸손하려고 노력했다고 하더라고요. 그런데 이제는 "슈퍼팀"이라는 자신감이 생기셨습니까?

특히 허웅 선수는 우승이 확실시되자 경기가 끝나기도 전에 눈물을 터뜨렸습니다. 그리고 MVP 수상자로 결정될 때까지 울음을 멈추지 않았는데요. 눈물의 의미는 무엇이었습니까?

우승도 기쁘지만, MVP를 받게 된 것도 남다른 의미가 있을 것 같은데요?

MVP는 허웅 선수에게 돌아갔지만, 개인적으로 송교창 선수도 MVP 유력 후보 중 한 명이었다는 생각이 드는데요. 혹시 송교창 선수도 내심 MVP를 기대하진 않으셨는지, 좀 아쉽진 않은지 궁금합니다.

송교창 선수의 경우 어느 인터뷰에서 "내가 빛나지 않아도 된다. 팀이 필요로 하는 역할을 하는데 집중한다"는 말을 하셨더라고요. 어떤 의미의 발언이었을까요?

특히 이번 챔프전은 허웅 선수와 허훈 선수의 불꽃 튀는 형제 대결로 그 열기가 더욱 뜨거웠습니다. 1차전부터 양보 없는 승부를 펼쳤는데요. 동생과의 양보 없는 경쟁 때는 어떤 마음으로 임하셨는지 궁금합니다.

특히 허훈 선수는 경기 중에 심한 감기몸살을 앓았다고 하던데요. 그럼에도 풀타임을 뛰고, 국내 선수로는 역대 최다 득점을 기록하는 투혼을 펼쳤습니다. 그걸 보면서 형으로서 상대팀으로서 여러 가지 감정이 들었을 것 같아요.

언젠가는 한 팀에서 뛰어보고 싶다고 몇 차례 얘기했었는데, 이번에도 허훈 선수와 관련해 이야기 나눈 적은 없나요?

형제는 아주 치열했지만, 아버지인 허재 전 감독님은 그저 뿌듯하셨을 거 같은데요. KCC 우승에 허재 전 감독님과 허훈 선수의 반응은 어땠는지요?

아버지 허재 전 감독님은 물론 허훈 선수도 정규리그 MVP를 탔었고, 그래서 집에 트로피가 굉장히 많았을 것 같은데요. 이번에 허웅 선수 MVP 트로피를 추가하면서 더 특별한 감정이 들었을 것 같아요.

송교창 선수에게도 여쭤볼게요. 농구밖에 모르는 생활 패턴과 싱크로율 때문에 슬램덩크의 서태웅 현실판이라는 수식어가 따라붙기도 하는데요. 어느 인터뷰를 보니, 실제 송교창 선수도 서태웅을 가장 좋아했다고 하더라고요? 이유가 있을까요?

두분 다 농구밖에 모르는 농구 천재로 평가받지만, 정말 농구밖에 모르면 힘들 것 같단 생각도 듭니다. 농구 외의 취미도 하나 쯤은 갖고 있어야 하지 않을까 싶은데요. 농구 외 좋아하는 취미 생활이 있다면 무엇인가요?

특히 송교창 선수 팬들의 관심은 국내 무대를 평정한 송교창 선수가 해외 진출을 통해 다시 한번 본인의 진가를 발휘할까를 궁금해하는데요. 송교창 선수 해외 진출 꿈이나 계획은 없으신가요?

KCC의 이번 우승 비결 중에는 슈퍼팀으로 불린 선수들도 있지만, 국가대표 선수들을 하나의 팀으로 만든 전창진 감독의 리더십도 높게 평가 받고 있습니다. 전창진 감독님이 과거에는 굉장히 무서운 분으로 정평이 나 있었는데 이번에 우승하고 나서 송교창 허웅 선수가 장난도 치시더라고요. 선수들이 말하는 전창진 감독님의 리더십은요?

코치진에도 슈퍼스타가 계신데, 이상민 코치님이죠. 오빠 부대를 이끌고 다닌 원조 슈퍼스타였는데, 경기 전에 허웅 선수랑 같이 훈련하는 모습이 자주 보이더라고요. 이번 플레이오프에서 이상민 코치님의 특별 코칭이 있었을까요?

또 이번 챔피언 결정전은 뜨거운 관중들의 열기로도 화제를 모았습니다. 12년 만에 1만 관중이라는 흥행을 이끌어 내기도 했는데요. 관중들의 관심과 열기가 느껴지셨나요?

앞으로도 쭉 이어가기 위해선 어떤 노력이 필요할까요?

팬들의 관심과 열기를 계속 지켜나가기 위해서는 앞으로 두 분이 어떤 활약을 하느냐도 중요할 것 같습니다. 농구선수로서, 그리고 개인적으로 목표로 삼고 있는 계획이 있을까요?
