Pedro Pascal and Dakota Johnson spotted in NYC as filming on new feature kicks off

Pedro Pascal and Dakota Johnson were spotted in New York as filming on their new feature Materialists kicked off.

The stars were seen making their way through the city as they headed to set. The footage was taken on Wednesday (1 May) at 2pm.

Production company A24 confirmed the film is in active production in New York City this spring.

Starring Pedro Pascal, Dakota Johnson and Chris Evans, the film follows a matchmaker who falls into a toxic love triangle.

In the footage, Pedro Pascal, of Game of Thrones and Narcos fame, donning sunglasses and shirt, can be seen strolling through the city.

He then climbs into a waiting car seemingly unnoticed by members of the public walking past.

And Dakota Johnson was spotted walking past her trailer clutching papers and a drink.

She appeared comfortably dressed in Ugg boots and a long grey cardigan with her hair left loose as she stepped into a waiting car.

‘Mystery’ whale carcass measuring 44ft blocks cruise ship from docking in New York

Conservationists and scientists are working together to try and solve the mystery of how a 44ft whale carcass ended up on the bow of a cruise liner docking in New York.

The whale was discovered as the ship approached the Port of Brooklyn over the weekend.

An autopsy identified the deceased marine mammal as a mature female sei whale, an endangered species typically found in deep waters far from land.

It is unclear if the whale’s death came before or after its contact with the vessel, according to the Atlantic Marine Conservation Society.

여자친구를 살해하고 여자친구의 어머니를 다치게 한 김레아가 재판을 앞두고 변호인 10명을 선임했습니다. 

김레아는 이른바 '머그샷 공개법'이 통과된 이후 1호 공개 대상이 됐는데요, 

신상정보 공개 결정을 취소해달라는 소송도 냈습니다. 

강경모 기자입니다.

지난 3월 25일 화성 오피스텔에서 흉기를 휘둘러 동거하던 여자친구를 살해한 26살 김레아.

여자친구 어머니까지 크게 다치게 한 혐의를 받고 있습니다.

검찰은 범행수법이 잔인하고 범죄 혐의가 분명하다며 지난달 22일 신상공개를 결정했습니다.

교제 관계에서 살인으로 이어진 위험성을 국민에게 알릴 필요가 있다는 이유도 설명했습니다.

올해 1월 특정중대범죄 신상공개법 시행 이후 피의자의 얼굴을 강제로 촬영한 이른바 머그샷을 공개한 첫 사례입니다.

앞서 김레아는 머그샷을 포함한 신상정보를 공개하지 말아 달라고 집행정지를 신청했다가 기각됐습니다.
  
당시 재판부는 "피해자들의 극심한 피해와 사회에 미치는 해악성 등을 고려하면 동일한 유형의 범행을 방지해야할 사회적 필요성이 인정된다"고 판단했습니다.

오늘로 신상이 공개 된지 18일째.

그런데 김레아는 신상정보 공개 결정에 대한 집행정지신청이 기각되자 정식 취소 소송을 냈습니다.

선임한 변호인만 10명이 넘습니다.

첫 머그샷 공개 피의자 김레아의 첫 재판은 오는 23일 수원지법에서 열립니다.

의대생 최모 씨에 프로파일러 투입…사이코패스 검사 불발

[앵커]
여자친구를 흉기로 살해한 의대생, 최모 씨 조사에 프로파일러가 투입됐습니다. 

오늘 3시간에 걸쳐 집중 면담했는데요. 

경찰은 추가 자료 분석을 마친 뒤 사이코 패스 검사를 시도할 계획입니다. 

이준성 기자입니다.

경찰서 정문을 나서는 여성 두 명.

건물 옥상에서 여자친구를 살해한 혐의를 받는 의대생 최모 씨를 조사하기 위해 투입된 프로파일러들입니다.

이들은 오늘 오후 3시간에 걸쳐 최 씨와의 면담을 진행했습니다.

[현장음]
"(혹시 사이코패스 검사 받으셨는지? 못 받으셨으면 언제쯤 진행하실 예정이신지?)…. (피의자 상태 어떤지 확인해보셨나요?)…."

최 씨의 범죄 수법이 잔혹하다 보니 최 씨의 범행 동기를 다각도로 분석하고, 진술의 신빙성을 검토하기 위해 프로파일러가 투입 된 겁니다.

최 씨가 피해자를 특정 건물 옥상으로 불러낸 이유나, 건물에서 뛰어내리려는 시도를 했던 심리적 배경 등에 대해서도 집중 면담이 진행 된 것으로 보입니다.

[배상훈 / 프로파일러]
"내재된 폭력성과 연결점, 왜 수단을 흉기로 했고, 그 부분에 대한 걸 판단…진짜 투신을 하려 했던 건지 아니면 이전에 징후가 있었는지…."

다만 사이코패스 검사는 진행되지 않았습니다.

경찰은 최 씨가 검사를 거부한 건 아니라며, 검사를 위해선 추가 자료 분석이 필요하다고 설명했습니다.

[배상훈 / 프로파일러]
"첫번째 날에는 일종의 전 검사 같은 예비 검사를 하고, 당사자가 어떤 형태로 본 검사에 임할 수 있을지 판단한 다음에 본 검사에 들어가는 게 매뉴얼에 맞는 거야. 라포도 형성해야 되고…."

경찰은 최 씨의 진술과 휴대전화 포렌식 결과 등을 토대로 정확한 범행 경위를 조사한 뒤 다음 주 사건을 검찰에 넘길 예정입니다.

“7살 딸 성추행” 신고했지만 영장 기각

[앵커] 
80대 노인이 7살 아이에게 신체 접촉을 한 영상이 공개돼 논란이 일고 있습니다. 

아이의 부모는 노인을 성추행으로 신고했는데, 법원에서 구속영장이 기각됐습니다. 

노인은 무고 혐의로 맞고소했습니다. 

김대욱 기자입니다. 

[기자]
식당에 있던 노인이 밥을 먹고있는 여자아이 몸을 쓰다듬습니다.

아이는 이 식당 업주의 딸입니다.

노인이 식당을 떠난 뒤 아이가 불쾌함을 토로했고 업주는 CCTV를 살펴보고 뒤늦게 이런 사실을 알았습니다

80대 노인 A씨를 아동성추행 혐의로 신고했습니다.

그런데 신고한 사실을 알게 된 A씨가 엄마를 찾아와 항의했고 무고죄로 신고했습니다.

[피해 아동 엄마]
"애 앞세워서 돈 뜯어 먹으려고 그러냐. '나 옛날에 서울에서 깡패하던 사람이여' 하여튼 욕해가면서 가만 안 둔다고 그러더라고요."

경찰은 A씨에 대해 구속영장을 신청했지만 법원은 영장을 기각했습니다.

고령에다 도주우려가 없다는 이유입니다.

[경찰 관계자]
"3월경에 (A씨가) 찾아가서 형사팀에서 출동해가지고 보복 범죄로 영장을 신청했는데 실질심사에서 판사 기각 났거든요. 성폭력 그 부분에서는 이미 송치가 됐고."

엄마는 A씨가 또 찾아오지 않을까 불안에 떨고 있습니다.

A씨가 사는곳이 식당과 600m 밖에 떨어져 있지 않기 때문입니다.

혹시 아이에게 해코지라도 할까봐 걱정이 태산입니다.

[피해 아동 엄마]
"엄마 나 오늘 엄마 가게 가도 돼? 나 엄마가 해주는 밥 먹고 싶은데 그래요. 고령이라고 해서 혜택을 주는 거는 저는 아니라고 봐요. 자기 자식들이라도 이렇게 했을까요?"
