한강 다리에서 투신한 20대 시민이 당시 비번이었던 경찰관에 극적으로 구조됐습니다.

서울경찰청에 따르면 지난 11일 오전 한강경찰대 소속 문선민 경위는 서울 마포구 월드컵대교에서 투신한 20대를 구조했습니다.

당시 비번이었던 문 경위는 수상 레저를 즐기기 위해 월드컵대교 인근에 있었는데, '첨벙' 소리가 나자 투신 상황을 직감하고는 보트를 빌려 신속하게 발견했습니다.

문 경위는 "본능적으로 몸이 반응했다"며 "당연히 해야 할 일"이라고 전했습니다.

의료계, 2천명 증원 회의록 공개…정부 "재판 방해"

[앵커]

의대 정원 2천 명 확대를 최종 결정했던 정부 위원회 회의록 내용이 밝혀졌습니다.

의대 증원을 멈춰달라고 가처분 신청을 냈던 의료계 측이 정부가 법원에 낸 근거 자료를 모두 공개한 건데요.

정부는 공정한 재판을 방해하려는 의도라며 비판했습니다.

홍서현 기자입니다.

의대 교수들과 의사협회, 의학회 인사들이 한자리에 모였습니다.

정부가 법원에 제출한 자료를 공개하며 2천 명 증원의 근거가 부실하다고 비판했습니다.

"기존 보고서 재탕 외에 재판부가 석명으로 요청한 증원을 결정한 새로운 객관적인 용역연구나 검증도 전무했던 것을 확인했습니다."

2천 명 증원이 언급된 자료는 49건 중 지난 2월 6일 보건의료정책심의위원회 회의록이 유일합니다.

대한의사협회 등 일부 위원이 불참한 가운데, 23명 중 4명이 반대 의견을 냈습니다.

한 위원은 "굉장히 충격으로 받아들인다"며 "제대로 훈련되지 않은 의사들을 양산해 국민 건강에 큰 걸림돌이 될 것"이라고 말했습니다.

"상징적으로 많이 늘린다는 의미인지 고민이 필요하다"며 "회의가 끝난 뒤 2천 명이라고 발표할 텐데 보정심이 무슨 의미가 있냐"고 비판한 위원도 있었습니다.

정부는 1년 이상 의료계와 충분히 협의하고 사회적 의견도 수렴했다고 재차 강조했습니다.

2035년까지 의사 1만 명이 부족하다는 연구 결과는 이미 있었다며, 증원 시기와 규모, 방법은 정책적으로 결정할 사항이라고 설명했습니다.

또 의료계를 향해 정부를 근거 없이 비난하고 법원 판단에 압력을 행사하려는 데 심히 유감이라고 밝혔습니다.

"이는 여론전을 통해 재판부를 압박하여, 공정한 재판을 방해하려는 의도로밖에 볼 수 없습니다."

다음 주면 전공의들이 병원을 떠난 지 3달째를 넘깁니다.

정부는 이번 주까지 복귀하지 않으면 전문의 자격 취득이 1년 늦어진다고 경고했습니다.

국회의장 후보인 추미애 민주당 당선인이 윤석열 대통령의 과거를 다시 끄집어내며 공격을 재개했습니다.

그리고는 이재명 민주당 대표의 연임을 지지하며 명심을 띄웠는데요.

추 당선인이 국회의장이 되면 '추윤갈등'이 또다시 펼쳐질 거란 전망이 나옵니다.

국회의장에 출마한 추미애 민주당 당선인이 윤석열 대통령이 검찰총장이 되기 위해 문재인 전 대통령을 속였다고 주장했습니다.

"(윤석열 대통령이) 문재인 (전) 대통령 앞에서 검찰총장 후보군에 들어갔을 때 제가 검찰총장이 되면 우리 검찰의 수사권은 다 폐지하겠습니다. 이렇게 얘기를 했다 그래요. 그래서 문재인 (전) 대통령님이 거기에 후한 점수를 줬다는 거예요."

그러면서 본인은 법무부장관 시절 "윤 총장의 불법, 비리, 반칙을 밝혀내고 징계했던 사람"이라고 말했습니다.

당내 국회의장 후보 선출 사흘 앞두고 대통령 공격에 나선 겁니다. 

추 당선인은 용산 대통령실 앞에서 열린 '채 상병 특검 수용 촉구 기자회견'도 찾았습니다.

"국민의 명령을 받들어서 반드시 대한민국의 법치와 정의를 되찾아 줄 것을 대통령께 촉구합니다."

조정식, 정성호 의원의 후보 사퇴로 상반기 국회의장 후보는 추 당선인과 우원식 의원으로 압축됐습니다.

추 당선인은 "이재명 대표가 잘해주시길 바란다고 나에게만 말했다"고 주장하며 '명심'이 자신에게 있음을 분명히 했습니다.

이 대표의 연임에 대해서도 찬성 의사를 밝혔습니다.
 
한 민주당 중진 의원은 "추 당선인이 의장이 되면 악연인 추-윤 두 사람이 감정적으로 붙을까봐 걱정"이라고 말했습니다.

'채 상병 사건'을 수사 중인 경찰이 임성근 전 해병대 1 사단장을 소환해 조사하고 있습니다.

사건 발생 299일 만에 첫 소환 조사인데요. 

임 전 사단장, 채 상병 순직에 책임이 있는지 없는지를 두고 국방부와 당시 해병대 수사단이 충돌했었죠.

일각에서는 임 전 사단장을 빼라는 대통령실 개입 의혹도 제기했고요.

핵심 키맨 오늘 뭐라고 했는지, 공국진 기자가 보도합니다.

지난해 7월 경북 예천에서 수해 실종자 수색 때 무리하게 수중 수색 지시를 내려 해병대원 채 상병이 순직에 이르게 한 혐의로 소환됐습니다.

사건 발생 열 달 만에 첫 소환 조사입니다.

"그 무엇보다도 작전 임무 수행 중에 안타깝게 순직한 고 채 해병의 명복을 빕니다."

다만, 채 상병 순직과 관련된 자신의 업무상과실치사 혐의는 적극 부인했습니다.

"제가 하지도 않는 수중 수색 지시를 제가 했다고 10개월째 주장하고 있습니다. 이러한 것들이 낱낱이 밝혀질 수 있도록 경찰 수사에 적극적으로 협조하겠습니다."

임 전 사단장은 앞서 수중 수색 지시와 관련 "당시 해병대 여단장이 작전통제권자인 육군 50사단장에게 건의해 승인받아 결정했다"며 자신은 무관하다고 주장했습니다.

경찰은 당시 대대장이던 이 모 중령을 소환하는 등 최근까지 50여 명을 조사했습니다.

최윗선 지휘부인 임 전 사단장에 대한 첫 소환 조사는 밤 늦게까지 진행될 것으로 보입니다.
