프로야구 기아의 간판 투수였던 윤석민, 이른 은퇴에 힘들었던 시기 잡은 골프채로 새로운 도전을 이어가고 있는데요.

최근 프로골퍼가 된 윤석민을, 정래원 기자가 만나고 왔습니다.

[기자]

프로야구 KIA 타이거즈의 '에이스'였던 윤석민.

어깨 통증으로 수술과 재활에 힘썼지만 2019년 결국 은퇴를 선언했습니다.

34살이란 비교적 이른 나이에 마운드를 떠나며 갈피를 잡기 어려울 때 익숙한 떨림을 느끼게 해준 건 골프였습니다.

"심리적으로, 마음적으로 좀 많이 힘든 시간이 있었어요. 그러다가 골프를 치게 됐고, 제가 선수 때 느끼던 그런 긴장감과 떨림을 느끼게 되면서…."

골프를 대하는 마음이 진지해지면서 프로 선발전에 도전해봤지만, 결과는 6번의 낙방.

하지만 지난달 7번의 도전 끝에 통과하면서 공식적인 '프로골퍼'가 됐습니다.

"뭐라 그럴까 부담감이 좀 생겼어요. 프로의 모습을 보여줘야 된다는 생각이 들어서 부담이 되는데…."

위기가 왔을 때 오히려 더 자신 있게 나서던 현역 시절의 경험은 골프 여정에 자산이 됐습니다.

"다른 선수들보다 조금 덜 긴장했었던 것 같고요. 야구할 때도 그렇고 위기가 왔을 때 소극적인 것보다는 자신 있게 하는 편이었거든요."

'조금 잘 지내보고자' 시작한 골프, 정규투어 출전권이 걸린 예선전에 나갈 자격을 얻었지만, 두 아이가 있는 가장에게 만만한 일은 아닙니다.

"기회가 된다면 조용히 한번 투어 프로 테스트에 나가볼 생각이긴 한데요, 지금처럼 열심히 할 수 있을지는 저도 잘 모르겠습니다."

한계가 없다는 게 골프의 가장 큰 매력이라는 윤석민, 마운드 대신 필드에서 새로운 도전을 이어가고 있습니다.

정부가 최근 저렴한 가격을 앞세워 국내 소비자들을 공략하고 있는 해외 직구 안전 관리를 대폭 강화하기로 했습니다.

일부 제품에서는 1군 발암 물질인 카드뮴이 기준치의 최대 700배가 넘게 검출됐는데요, 특히 어린이 제품이나 전기·생활용품의 경우 국내 인증 절차를 의무화했습니다.

김대겸 기자의 보도입니다.

중국 온라인 거래 플랫폼인 '알리'와 '테무'에서 판매된 각종 어린이용 제품입니다.

지난달, 서울시가 발표한 조사에서 생식 독성 물질인 프탈레이트계 가소제가 기준치의 350배 가까이 검출됐습니다.

일부 제품에서는 납 함유량이 기준치의 30배를 훌쩍 넘겼습니다.

관세청 조사에서도 카드뮴 등 발암물질이 검출됐는데, 기준치의 최대 700배에 달했습니다.

이처럼 반복된 문제에 정부가 해외 직구 제품들에 대한 관리를 대폭 강화하기로 했습니다.

[이정원 / 국무조정실 국무2차장 : 그러한 위해 제품이 국내에 들어와서 소비자들이 그걸 잘 모르고 쓰게 만들지는 않겠다. 이게 이번 대책의 한 가지만 꼽으라면 제일 큰 게 그거고요.]

우선 물놀이 기구나 유모차 등 어린이 제품 34개 품목에 대해선 국내 인증 절차를 필수록 받도록 했습니다.

또, 화재 위험성이 큰 전기·생활용품 34개 품목은 KC 인증을 필수로 받도록 하고, 가습기 소독제나 살균제 등 생활화학제품 12종도 환경부 신고와 승인을 의무화하기로 했습니다.

이 밖에 납이 포함됐을 우려가 있는 수도꼭지류나 하수 수질 악화 가능성이 있는 주방용 오물 분쇄기는 통관 단계에서부터 인증 여부를 별도 확인하기로 했습니다.

피해 구제 대책도 강화하기로 했습니다.

국내 대리인을 의무적으로 지정하도록 해 국내 소비자 피해나 불법 제품 유통에 대한 제재 실효성을 높이겠다는 구상입니다.

그동안 부처별로 흩어져 운영해온 해외 직구 관련 사이트들은 공정위가 운영하는 '소비자 24'로 통합하기로 했습니다.

위해성 물품이나 해외 리콜 정보 등을 안내하고 분쟁 관련 상담·신고 서비스도 제공할 방침입니다.

라인 야후 사태 속에 이틀 동안 진행된 한일 경제인회의가 모두 마무리됐습니다.

양국 대표들은 한일 간 미래지향적인 경제 협력을 약속했지만, 라인 야후와 관련해서는 극도로 말을 아꼈습니다.

한편 일본 정부는 기존 입장을 이어가면서 위탁처 즉 네이버에 대한 관리가 중요하다고 밝혔습니다.

네. 도쿄입니다.


한일 경제인회의에서 라인야후 사태와 관련한 논의에 관심이 모아졌는데 구체적인 언급이 나왔습니까?

[기자]
네. 한국과 일본 경제인들은 어제 56년째를 맞이한 '한일 경제인 회의'를 마무리했습니다.

한일 경제인들은 '미래로 이어지는 한일 파트너십' 이라는 제목의 공동성명을 채택했습니다.

공동성명에서 양측은 지속가능한 발전을 위해 상호 이익이 되는 분야를 찾아 미래로 이어지는 파트너십을 강화한다고 밝혔습니다.

또 공급망 구축과 공동자원 개발, 반도체, 디스플레이, 디지털전환, 녹색전환 수소 등 신사업 분야와 스타트업 육성에 협력하고,

공통과제 해결을 목표로 상호 네트워크 강화를 위해 노력하자고 약속했습니다.

하지만 최근 불거진 라인 야후 사태가 한일 경제 협력의 큰 변수로 떠오르면서 기자회견에서 관련 질의가 이어졌습니다.

그러나 사안의 민감성을 의식해서인지 양측 모두 직접적인 언급을 피했습니다.

우리 측 김윤 한일 경제협회장은 자세히 알지 못한다며 다만 사태가 원만히 해결됐으면 좋겠다고 말했고,

일본 측의 사사키 미키오 일한경제협회장은 아는 내용이 없다며 개별 기업의 일이기 때문에 자신의 견해는 삼가겠다고 밝혔습니다.


이런 가운데 일본 정부가 라인 야후 사태와 관련한 입장을 추가로 밝혔죠?

[기자]
네. 일본 정부 대변인 하야시 요시마사 관방장관은 어제 기자회견에서 라인 야후에 대한 행정지도는 안전관리 조치 강화, 보안 체계 재검토 등을 강구하라고 요구한 것이라고 밝혔습니다.

이어 보안 체계의 재검토에는 여러 방안이 있을 수 있다며, 위탁처 즉 네이버에 대한 관리가 적절하게 기능하는 형태가 되는 것이 중요하다고 말했습니다.

일본 총무성이 지금까지 밝힌 입장을 다시 확인한 겁니다.

한국 정부가 네이버 의사에 반하는 부당한 조치에 단호히 대응할 것이라는 데 대해서는 한국 정부에 일본 정부의 생각을 이미 ... (중략)

4월 미 소비자물가상승세 둔화...뉴욕증시 역대 최고 마감 / YTN

올해 들어 상승세를 이어가던 미국 소비자물가상승률이 지난달 처음으로 낮아졌습니다.

올 하반기에 금리를 인하할 수 있다는 기대가 커지면서 뉴욕증시 3대 지수는 모두 사상 최고치를 경신했습니다.

박영진 기자가 보도합니다.

지난달 미국 소비자물가 상승세가 올해 들어 처음으로 꺾였습니다.

4월 소비자물가상승률은 3.4%로 3월의 3.5%보다 0.1% 포인트 낮아졌습니다.

특히 변동성이 큰 식료품과 에너지를 빼고 계산한 근원 소비자 물가 상승률은 2021년 4월 이후 3년 만에 가장 낮은 3.6%를 기록했습니다.

지난달 소매판매도 3월 수준에 머물면서 전문가들의 예상치를 크게 밑돌았습니다.

인플레이션 지표가 둔화하고, 소매판매도 정체 국면을 보이면서 시장에선 금리 인하 기대감이 커졌습니다.

시카고상품거래소 페드워치툴에 따르면 연준이 9월에 금리를 인하할 확률이 75.3%로 전날의 65.1%보다 크게 높아졌습니다.

하지만 우려는 남아 있습니다.

주거비와 휘발윳값 등이 높은 수준을 유지하고 있고, 물가 상승률이 연준의 목표치 2%보다는 여전히 훨씬 높기 때문입니다.

4월 소비자물가 상승세 둔화로 하반기 금리 인하 전망에 힘이 실리면서 뉴욕 증시 3대 지수는 일제히 상승했습니다.

S&P500지수가 1% 넘게 올라 5,300선을 넘어서는 등 3대 지수가 모두 사상 최고치를 경신했습니다.

비트코인도 7% 넘게 급등했습니다.
